On 27 December 2007, Xinwen Lianbo aired a report about the wide and easy availability of explicit content on the internet. The report appealed to juristic institutions and government to hurry to make relevant legislation in order to purify the internet environment. In the report, a young student described a pop-up advertisement she saw as being "very erotic very violent".[43] After the airing of the report, many parodies were posted by internet users ridiculing the comment and CCTV's credibility in part.[44] The incident also questioned the reliability of Xinwen Lianbo, noting the unlikelihood of a web page being both violent and erotic at the same time (even though such pages do exist), and the age of the student interviewed. Personal information of the interviewed girl was later also leaked, identifying the girl in the report by name.[45] Online message boards were populated by large threads about the incident,[46] and a satirical work even stated that CCTV's website was the number one "very erotic very violent" website on the internet,[47] with some users even creating their own toplists of sites which meet these criteria,[48] the "top 8 very erotic very violent sports events"[49] and even identifying things that are yellow as being erotic (since 黄, huáng, the Mandarin character for "yellow", also means "erotic").[50]
In South Africa due to the high crime rate CCTV surveillance is widely prevalent but the country has been slow to implement the latest technology e.g. the first IP camera was released in 1996 by Axis Communications but IP cameras didn't arrive in South Africa till 2008.[84] In order to regulate the number of suppliers in 2001 the Private Security Industry Regulation Act was passed requiring all security companies to be registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA).[85]

A 2007 report by the UK Information Commissioner's Office, highlighted the need for the public to be made more aware of the growing use of surveillance and the potential impact on civil liberties.[101][102] In the same year, a campaign group claimed the majority of CCTV cameras in the UK are operated illegally or are in breach of privacy guidelines.[103] In response, the Information Commissioner's Office rebutted the claim and added that any reported abuses of the Data Protection Act are swiftly investigated.[103] Even if there are some concerns arising from the use of CCTV such as involving privacy,[104] more commercial establishments are still installing CCTV systems in the UK.
If you have valuables that you want to protect, it’s often impossible to lock everything away in a safe or keep them with you when you leave the house, so it makes sense to install CCTV or a home camera. A home camera is small and unobtrusive, but it'll help you relax when you’re not at home, safe in the knowledge that if anything should happen, it'll all be caught on film.

Surveillance systems are an essential part of securing your home or business. These systems can range from wireless home security cameras to sophisticated alarm systems that notify law enforcement at the first sign of trouble. The presence of security cameras can serve as a deterrent to would-be thieves, while hidden cameras can protect discretely.

From a CCTV kit to safes and padlocks we have great security solutions for your home or business. We have lots of security cameras to choose from including a Foscam camera, which enables you to view your home from anywhere. This item arrived promptly and well packaged. The quality of the picture is very good, I am surprised at just how good it is for the price. The system was very easy to set up, 60ft of cable comes with each camera. I haven't connected it to our internet yet, not sure I will as we got it to cover all public areas in the pub we live in. The playback is easy, all in all very good value.
If you’re using CCTV cameras outside, make sure they’re weatherproof and have the recommended IP rating of 66. Wireless cameras are available, but you’ll still have to run a cable to a power source. Position cameras where they can’t be tampered with, but are accessible for maintenance and cleaning. You can buy vandal-proof cameras, but these tend to cost more.
Our technical support is unparalleled. It's one thing to say it but another thing to mean it. For as many years as we've been in the business, we have yet to come across anyone else who spends as much time with their customers as we do. You don't need to have an expert knowledge of CCTV systems, just a helpful and willing support staff that's more than happy to assist you with anything you may need.
Very pleased. After purchasing many brands, I can say that I am very happy that Zosi delivered a quality product. The price is unbelievable, because the camera housing is rock solid and the mounting positions are infinite using their brackets. I purchased a brand Elec and the limited views and cheap materials caused a few cameras to break. These were sturdy, easy to screw into the house siding/walls, and deliver a crisp picture thru the dvr into my tv where I hooked it up. I prefer the bullet style because they are easier to mount and seem to have a wider viewing angle. This dvr is simple to use and work instantly with a hard drive that I bought separately and stuck inside with the 2 easy connections (which are pre installed in this unit). Even the wires connecting the cameras to the dvr are of a higher quality than ... full review
