Here at Locksmith Nottingham we only use locks up to the British standards set by the British Standards Institute, this is because if we replace someone’s lock with a lock that isn’t up to British standards it could mean they aren’t covered by their home insurance if they get burglarised. Obviously you can’t tell how good a lock is just by looking at it, that’s why the British Standards Institute have a set of tests that simulate different well known methods of breaking into the types of locks being tested. And if a lock passes it’s branded with the British Standards kite mark (seen below), which tells you that it’s up to scratch. http://ultimatehometips.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/flush-mount-ceiling-fan-1.jpg
Do we call it a day pack up our things and go? Not at all locksmith Nottingham realises that most of the time when this happens it isn’t any fault of the customer, or our office staff, or our locksmiths, most of the time we have to deal with changes they’re so minor that unless you were a locksmith or a lock enthusiast (if they exist) to even k=notice the subtle differences between both locks.
